City, county launches new website to help businesses fill job vacancies and help unemployed find work

Going live this week BowlingGreenWorks.com is a step in the effort to connect employees with actively hiring employers. The site will be a resource for employers and job seekers.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In an effort to fill open jobs in the community, the City of Bowling Green and Warren County Government partnered to target currently unemployed or underemployed individuals already here and to attract new talent to the Southern Kentucky area.

“Our outreach campaign aims to recruit and attract workforce and communicate our superior quality of life, jobs, and opportunities to all those who live in this region, and to those who live in outwardly migrating areas of the country,” said Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanan, one of the key stakeholders in the project.

Going live this week BowlingGreenWorks.com is a step in the effort to connect employees with actively hiring employers.

“Bowling Green and Warren County has so much to offer with its quality of life, low taxes, healthcare, excellent school systems, location and our thousands of career opportunities,” Bowling Green City Manager Jeff Meisel said.

The site, created by CrowdSouth, will be the main resource for individuals looking for jobs to research companies currently hiring and learn more about the area and what makes it an appealing place to live.  Employers in the 10-county region who are hiring will also have the opportunity to submit information to have their company featured at no cost to them. The campaign will also include digital and traditional outreach in the coming months, aimed at connecting employers with candidates.

As of the beginning of 2022, there were over 4,000 open positions in sectors including manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, education, construction, logistics, retail, and more.

The Bowling Green region has the charm of a small town with a cosmopolitan feel due to the many cultures represented in this area.
